I meant to reply to this back in May, shortly after it was posted. Finally getting 'round to saying that this story reminds me of the ancient practice of deliberately feeding corpses to Griffon Vultures as practiced in the early community of Çatal Hüyük, probably the earliest city yet discovered by archeologists. Here is some further reading, if anyone's interested: Çatal Hüyük: Origins of CivilizationsThe Religion of Çatal HüyükVulture Shamanism, 10,000 Years AgoWarning: Each of these pages progresses ever deeper into the rabbit hole, if you're not accustomed to reading such things. Much of it is speculation, but there is some real history mixed in.

I can say from personal experience - The French will eat *anything*. If it can be killed and cooked, they've applied garlic to it at some point.

Garlic is the great equalizer. It can enhance some foods and hide others.

Does that mean that vultures will like you better with garlic? Or only French vultures??
