Does anyone here have a rippin, gooey muffin recipe?

No, but I found an Almond-scent white cake recipe that I'm going to play with this weekend. The cake looks really good but I'm also wondering if the layers can be frozen and then thawed for later use. If so, that would be very helpful when I start getting ready for the Holidays.

Yum, chocolate and sour cream. He didn't say the butter should be at room temperature or the eggs either, but both probably should be. You're going to drizzle a chocolate sauce over these, aren't you? Aren't you?! On the almond cake, just put the raspberry preserves in a saucepan on low heat and stir until it "melts". You just need something that isn't a semi-solid lump and looks easy to spread. That's also the way I do cranberry sauce when I melt it to spread between the layers of a lemon cake. That's another easy and very nice cake recipe, George. Cranberry-lemon cake with a cream cream icing. The trick on both cakes is not to take the filling all the way to the edge of the cake layers. It can squish out between the layers and you'll pick it up and spread it around when you ice the cake.

I hadn't planned to drizzle it with sauce. These muffins will be going to work with tomorrow, so a gooey surface might be a problem. Your suggestion to drizzle gives me an idea: maybe melt some chips down and drizzle the tops with that. When the chocolate sets, it will add to the texture. Yes? No? Maybe?

Or keep it easy and just throw some chocolate chips into the muffin mix before you bake them. Death by chocolate (muffin)!

Death By Chocolate! I went to a room party at a SF convention back in the ...er, well; I don't remember if it was the late '80's or early '90's anymore. What I "do" still remember is that, in a back corner of the room was a pan, and in this pan there was a large-ish piece of chocolate cake. Well, I've had plenty of chocolate cake before, and I like it; so I helped myself... OH, MY, GAWD!!! This was no ordinary cake!! I literally could not stop eating it! It was as if I had been possessed, and I had to have every last crumb! I cleaned that cake pan out pretty good, then found the person who brought it, and asked him what it was. He explained to me that it was something called: 'Death By Chocolate', and that the receipe had a two-page list of ingredients, and it cost him about $50.00 to make! I wish I had that receipe, even if I never used it. I think I would frame it and hang it on the wall. I've never forgotten that slice of cake, and I'm awfully glad there was only one piece left!
